Because we will be deeply invested in the visual arts this semester -- in addition, of course, to works of fiction -- I thought that I'd use this initial post to share an image of one of my favorite paintings currently on view at the
St. Louis Art Museum in Forest Park. Admission to the museum is always free, so please think about checking it out if you haven't already. But we'll be talking about that a little more later on, actually...
